Meet Michael Allison, ChFC, CASL, RICP

As the president of The Retirement Company, LLC, Michael Allison is focused on helping clients work toward their retirement dreams through a well-thought-out strategy for retirement income.

Michael got his start in the industry at Principal Financial Group in 1991, building a foundation of knowledge in life and disability insurance, fixed and variable annuities, qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, mutual funds, and financial and retirement planning. In 2003, he started The Retirement Company and has built his business on the foundational principle of The Golden Rule — “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” He truly enjoys helping clients make their dreams and goals a reality as they live through their retirement years.

He has earned the designations Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Chartered Advisor for Senior Living (CASL) through the American College, in addition to the designation Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP). Michael has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a management option from Winthrop College (now Winthrop University) in Rock Hill, S.C.

Michael has been married to Cynthia for more than 30 years, and they have two grown children. In his free time, Michael enjoys tennis, golf, travel with family and playing with his two rescue dogs, Maple and Bentley.

Meet Robert Allison

Robert Allison joined The Retirement Company, LLC in 2010. He focuses on comprehensive retirement planning for individuals and families using a common-sense, risk-management approach.

Robert moved to Greenville in 1998. He is married to Wanda Allison, and they have three children and four grandchildren. He is an active member of NewSpring Church, where he leads a married couples' small group and is a Next Steps area team leader.

Robert is a licensed life, accident and health insurance professional in both North and South Carolina. He is securities registered in North and South Carolina, having series 7 and 66 securities registrations.
